The Arkansas Boathouse Club (ABC) is an all-volunteer club that can only operate with the generous time and resources offered by its members.  Rowing requires an investment in equipment that is expensive to purchase and needs to be regularly maintained.  We lease our Boathouse facility and boatyard from North Little Rock and share the dock with other recreational boaters, including bass boats, kayakers and canoers.

In order to keep all the equipment in good working order and to maintain the facility, we need volunteers.  In order to offer monthly Discover Rowing classes for new rowers or Learn to Row classes for novice rowers, we need volunteers.  To offer winter conditioning from December through March, we need volunteers to lead each class.

Starting in 2012, ABC will require its members to contribute 20 hours per year of volunteer time to help maintain the facilities and operate the programs.  This requirement can be waived for a fee of $125 per member.  Review the volunteer activities and complete the volunteer form here to return with your membership dues.
